TOP 10 THINGS TO DO WHILST ON HOLIDAY WITH SKI TALINI
Ski holidays are precious. The old adage that time flies when you’re having fun is never more true than while skiing. So if you want to make the most of your stay don’t miss our list of the top 10 things to do in St Martin de Belleville….
1. Ski all 3 Valleys in 1 day
The largest ski area in the world is here to be skied! It’s accessible by blue and green runs so possible for everyone – just don’t miss the last lift home!
2. Be the first on the famous Jerusalem red run
This is undoubtedly the best piste for perfect corduroy skiing in the mornings. Make sure you’re the first on the St Martin bubble, get to the top and point those skis downhill and enjoy a perfectly groomed, undulating piste. This will put a grin on your face all day!
3. Famous hot chocolate and cake at the cosy Adret Telebar in Méribel
On a bad weather day, there’s no better hide-away. Actually regardless of the weather, go there anyway (!) especially if you have a sweet tooth. A whole jug of velvety hot chocolate and a door stop of cake for around €5 in front of the fire. It’s so well hidden; no one will know you’re there.
4. Eat like royalty at La Bouitte, St Marcel
If you are a fan of fine dining, then look no further, René Meilleur and his team serve some of the best food the Alps, perhaps even France, has to offer. Locally foraged food features on their stunning tasting menus. Awarded it’s 3rd Michelin star in 2015, prepare to wowed!
5. Dogsledding
Become a musher and let a dog team guide you through the bottom of the Belleville Valley – a truly magical experience. (Booking absolutely necessary!)
6. Kick back and truly relax in the Chalets du Gypse Spa
Indulge in a treatment and use of the beautiful new spa complex, Ô des Cîmes, in the Chalets du Gypse near the top of the village button lift.
7. Sledging in Les Menuires
Swap your skis for a sledge at the bottom of Roc des 3 Marches 1 and cruise down the newly extended Roc n’Bob sledge run! And the new Speed Mountain rail-sledge experience near the Bruyeres lift.
8. Conquer the Mountain Burger!
We challenge you to finish the infamous Méribel Mottaret Mountain Burger. It’s without doubt the best burger in the 3 Valleys, not only is it tasty (complete with melted Raclette) but it’s large enough to feed a small family and only €7!
9. Sunset and be last on the mountain!
Pause at La Loy restaurant on your final run back into St Martin and enjoy a bit of extra sun and a peaceful final run of the day once everyone else is at home.
10. Indulge at the “La Béla Vya” spa.
Part of the Michelin 3-starred La Bouitte restaurant in neighbouring St Marcel, treatments are based around mountain hay, milk and honey, massages with essential oils or hot stones. There is even a milk and honey bath, followed by relaxation in a hay bed!
